When Calvin was born he was so small and frail his mother placed him in a shoe boc and he had to be kept in the cellar. After high school he enlisted in the military and served most of his time as a wireman and radio man during the cold war era in Germany. He worked in construction and was elected County Commissioner of SE Garfield County, OK until he retired.
He is an excellent carpenter and enjoys his workshop at his home. He also raised a large garden.
