Funeral services for Mrs. William Krippes, 63, are scheduled, for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Henniger-Allen Funeral Home chapel, Rev. Wallace Linton officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis cemetery under the direction of Henniger-Allen. Mrs. Krippes died Tuesday (3 Sep 1957) in a local hospital after an illness of two years which became serious only four weeks ago.A native of Illinois, she came to Oklahoma with her parents in 1886 and located in the Douglas community. She and William Krippes were married in 1916 and lived in the Waukomis community untill 1937, when they moved into Waukomis. The family came to the present home at 709 East Randolph in 1944. Mrs. Krippes was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Art Lang, of Waukomis; and three grandchildren, Patty, Joe and Billy Lang of Waukomis.

William P. Krippes, 82, 709 E. Randolph, died Friday morning ( 25 Mar 1966) in a local hospital. He had been ill since February when he was in an automobile accident.
A native of Illinois, Krippes came to Oklahoma from Texas some 60 years ago. He lived near Waukomis and moved to Enid in 1937.
Survivors include: a daughter Mrs. Art (Edna) Lang, Fairmont; two brothers, Charles Krippes, Waukomis, and Luke Krippes of Enid; three grandchildren, Mrs. Jim (Patty) Blaser, Breckinridge, Joe Lang of Douglas and Bill Lang, fairmont and three great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Waukomis Cemetery beside his wife who died in September 1957.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Henniger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Linton officiating. Burial will be in the Waukomis Cemetery.

WILLIAM S. LEGRANDFuneral services for William S. LeGrand, 76, 1213 N. 10th, who died Saturday (17 Feb 1973) in a local hospital, will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Brown Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Charles Gibson will officiate and burial will be in the Douglas Cemetery.
LeGrand was born in Rock Island, Ill. and came to a farm near Douglas with his parents at the opening of the Cherokee Strip. He served in the Army during World War I and came to Enid in 1919. He married Blanche Hobbs June 9, 1928. He was a farmer and later a carpenter and contractor before his retirement in 1951.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Blanche. of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Louchks, Enid; Mrs. Pete Maschino, Bethany; his mother, Mrs. Ida LeGrand, Enid; two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Krippes; Mrs. Mildred Atkins, both of Enid; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Webbers Falls - Funeral services for Blanche Irene LeGrand, 81, of Gore, formerly of Enid, who died Friday, Nov. 26, 1993 in Gore, will be at 2:p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Enid City, Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls, Okla.LeGrand was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Enid, the daughter of Hiram and Mary (Holloway) Hobbs. She attended school in Douglas and was a welder building large war ships in Vancouver, Wa. during World War II, and was a nursing assistant following the war. She was a member of the Davis Park Christian Church in Enid.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Loucks and Joan Maschino, both of Vian, two sisters, Eula and Maxine; two brothers, Roy and Junior; seven grandchildren, 12 great grand-children and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. LeGrand

DOUGLAS FARMER DIESA Douglas farmer and cattleman died Friday afternoon (22 Nov 1974) in an Enid hospital just three hours after being struck by a truck near Pioneer School.
George LeGrand, 75, was struck by an oil tanker about noon Friday just .7 of a mile north of the school and died at 2:45 p.m. A. K. Manahan, 47, 1826 Navajo, was the driver of the truck. He was not injured.
According to reports of OHP Trooper Art Sisney, who investigated the fatality accident, LeGrand was southbound on the county blacktop when his hat apparently blew off. He parked his car in the southbound lane and three feet from the east edge of the pavement when he was struck.
The Manahan truck was northbound and as it crested a hill, met another car, which prevented him from swerving to miss the pedestrian, Sisney reported. LeGrand was thrown about 30 feet from the impact.
LeGrand's survivors include his son, Dale LeGrand, Enid; two sisters, Mrs. W.. (Sally) Atkins and Mrs. Luke (Bonnie) Krippes, both of Enid; a brother, Richard of Covington; his mother, Mrs. Ida LeGrand, Enid, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services for LeGrand, who lived 1 1/2 miles west and 2 1/2 miles south of Douglas, will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Christian Union Church in Douglas with the Rev. H. I. Jones and the Rev. Jerry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery under the direction of the Henniger-Allen Funeral Home.
LeGrand was born near Douglas where he farmed and raised cattle his entire life. He was a member of the Farm Bureau.
George married Ruby Agnes Nichols on 15 Nov 1930. Ruby was born on 25 Aug 1898. She died on 27 Apr 1962. She was buried in Douglas Union Cemetery, Garfield Co, OK.

The funeral for Irene LeGrand, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Henniger-Allen Funeral Home, Enid. The Rev. Thomas E. Donaldson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery.She born Sept. 19, 1906, in Woodward County to Isaac and Elvora Gonser Hayes and died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1993, at St. Mary's Hospital, Enid. She had graduated From Covington High School and attended Phillips University. She taught rural schools for 14 years. On Dec. 22, 1939, she married Richard LeGrand in Enid. They lived on a farm in the Douglas-Fairmont community before moving to Covington in 1956. She owned a beauty shop until retirement.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Lynn of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Sadie Fiene of Enid. She was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and three brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Atkins of Bull Head City, Ariz., and Gerry Gray of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Richard LeGrand of Covington; and three grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Services for G. W. (Bill) Atkins, 71, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. William B. Oden and the Rev. Charles Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery in Douglas under the direction of the Henniger-Allen Funeral Home.Atkins died Saturday morning (25 Jun 1983) in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born in Cleo Springs on Oct. 1, 1911, to Will and Mary Else Atkins. He graduated from Douglas High School in 1931 and attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva.
He married Mildred (Sallie) LeGrand in Enid on Christmas Day in 1937. In 1976 he retired from Vance Air Force Base, where he was supervisor of base maintenance. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and his parents. Survivors include: his wife, of the home; two daughters, Betty Atkins of Muskogee and Mrs. David (Gerry) Gray of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren, one brother, Arthur Atkins of St. Joseph, Mo, and one sister, Myrtle Schlottach of Amarillo, Texas.

Harold Leon LeGrand, 32, died suddenly at his home in Douglas about 8 p.m. after suffering a heart attack.He was born in Douglas and was graduated from high school there. Mr. LeGrand was a well-known contractor who built ponds throughout the United States.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Alice, of the home; one son, Harold, Jr., and one daughter, Patricia, both of the home; his mother, Mrs. Ida LeGrand of Enid; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Wright of El Reno; Mrs. Will Kreppis, Mrs. Luke Kreppis and Mrs. G.
