This Index is from a book compiled from original Death Registers kept by Dr. H. G. Parker of Douglas, Garfield County, OK as required by law beginning in 1918. There are over 250 home deaths recorded in these Registers. They have been extracted as is, with a few corrections verified by primary resource records. The original registers were donated to the Garfield County Genealogists, Inc. by the heirs of Dr. Parker.

The majority of these records are for deaths in the towns and surrounding rural areas of Fairmont, Douglas, Covington, Marshall, and Waukomis communities. The townships primarily involved, but not limited to, are Otter, Reed, Marshall, Patterson, Hackberry, Logan, Skeleton, Lincoln and Flynn. This area is located in the southeastern portion of Garfield County. The original records are the property of the Garfield County Genealogists, Inc. The time covered is 1918-1941.
