Garber, Oklahoma

Garber is located in eastern Garfield County, just seven miles from the Noble County line.  It is served by Oklahoma Highway 74/15, and is two and one-half miles north of U.S. 64/412.  Once a major oil-producing area, it's economy today is primarily agricultural.

Garber Oilers

Top:  Baseball has always been popular in Garber.  Here is the professional "Garber Oilers" team playing in 1920.

Left:  The "Garber Oilers" baseball team, 1920.

Right:  An oilwell "gusher" near Garber.  The Garber-Covington oilfield brought wealth, jobs, and a boom-town atmosphere to Garber in the 1920's.

Below Left:  The Garber Co-op has been a major presence in Garber for many years.

Below Center:  The original Bank of Garber.  This building was torn down in 1954, and replaced with a newer structure.
