OBITUARY:Harold L. Stiger, Jr., 48, Ponca City, died in a hospital there early
Wednesday after a period of ill health. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Friday in the Ladasau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Bartlett, assistant
pastor of Davis Park Christian Church, as officiating minister. Burial will
be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Stiger was born April 24, 1932, in Enid and graduated from high school
here in 1951. He entered military service and served four years in the U.S. Air
Force. Stiger was a veteran of the Korean War. He and Shirle Sears were married
in 1953. Stiger attended Oklahoma State University and had been employed by the
Federal Aviation Administration since 1960.
The Stigers moved to Ponca City from Truth or Consequences, N.M., where
they had lived for 13 years. He was a member of the Christian Church, the Moose
Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, all in Ponca City.
In addition to his wife, Stiger is survived by a daughter, Janice Carol of
the home; two sons, David L. Stiger with the U.S. Navy at Moffett Field,
Calif., and Steven J. Stiger, with the U.S. Army in Fort Rooker, Ala.; a
sister, Mrs. Gloria Voelzke, Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his
mother Mary in 1968.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until service time and the
casket will not be opened afterward.
Harold married Shirley Sears in 1953.

Marshall, will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the Douglas Christian Union Church with
the Rev. Dennis Wistrom officiating. Roberts will be buried in the IOOF
Cemetary at Marshall, with Henniger-Allen Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.Those who wish may make contributions in Roberts' memory to the Douglas
Christion Union Church, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Heart Division
or the Estarl Fund of the Order of Eastern Star. The funeral home will
serve as custodian of contributions.Roberts died suddenly Saturday evening at his home. He was born Jan 11,
1915, in the Marshall area on a farm. He attended schools in Covington, Enid
and Marshall. After his mother's death he lived with Mr. and Mrs. Burl Cline.After his marriage to Elsa Jane Poe, Aug 17, 1947, they lived and farmed
in the Marshall area. She died in 1962. Roberts and Ellen Roelse Roberts were
married June 29, 1964, in Enid. They made their home east of Covington where
he farmed. Roberts was member of the American Legion and was past commander of
the Zollner Post at Marshall.He was a veteran of WWII and served in the European Theater of Operations
as well as in Alaska. Roberts was a member of the First United Methodist Church
in Enid.In addition to his wife Ellen of the home, he is survived by four
step-children; Lloyd R. Roberts, Edmond; Jerry D. Roberts, Spokane, WA; Mrs.
Duane (Esther) Roever, Hitchcock; and Mrs. Tony (Berneice) Shaw, Warner; a
niece, Mrs. Patty Poe Hybarger of Tecumseh, who grew up in the Roberts home; 13
step grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; a brother Cecil L. Roberts
of Enid and a sister, Mrs. Valoise Bristow, Ponca City. He was preceded in deathby a brother.
