When Calvin was born he was so small and frail his mother placed him in a shoe boc and he had to be kept in the cellar. He is an excellent carpenter and enjoys his workshop at his home. He also raised a large garden.

Note from Edna: Bob and Edna were married at the age of 18 and 16. Comments were that it would not last. They will celebrate their 48th anniversary in 1998 at a family reunion of their large family in Polo, MO. Bob went into the ministry in 1954. He pastored churches in Iowa, Indiana, Oklahoma for Christian Union and SBC Baptist. He traveled for three years in evangelist crusades in Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma and Indiana. He worked in sales and carpenter work along with his pastoring. Due to heart trouble and bypass surgery he had to retire in 1994 but continued to preach and pastor as the Lord allowed. Edna was a constant companion and tried to be of help in the ministry wherever they went. She taught Sunday School classes, served on many national and state church boards. She worked outside the home for several years and continues in 1998.

The funeral service for Bonnie Black, 57, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ladasau-Evans Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.She was born May 30, 1938, in Aline to Roy and Vola Hood Kinney and died Sunday, Dec. 3, 1995, at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was raised in the Aline area and was owner-operator of 19th Hole at Meadowlake Golf Course.
Surviving are one son, Jay of Enid; three daughters, Brenda Black, LuAnn Black and Janet Black, all of Enid; her mother Vola Kinney of Aline; one brother, Ed Kinney of Aline; five sisters, Jeannie McDonald of Alva, Doty Percival and Fran Lavicky, both of Enid, Stella Lavicky of Cherokee and Dot Baker of Cleo Springs; and four grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her father. The family will be at 222 S. Keystone in Cedar Ridge Addition. Memorials may be made to the funeral home. Pallbearers were: S.C. Kealiher, Brian Markes, Tommy Hatcher, Tim McDaniel, Rod Billings, Donnie Holloway.
