Dennis loved sports and played baseball and football. He worked for a time at Cummins factory in Indiana.In 1969 he had cancer of the thyroid and had to have it removed. Had a clean bell of health five years later. He moved to Oklahoma with his wife, Jane and the three oldest girls in 1976. He began to drive an oil truck for an oil company and was still doing so in 1995.

Dennis served in the United States Navy from 1966-1972. He moved to Waukomis, OK in 1972 and went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co until 1980. In 1980 he went to work for Farmland Insurance. From 1982-1986 he owned and operated an Independent Insurance Company. From 1986-1998 he worked as an independent agent for several companues. In Oct, 1984, Dennis and his wife, Sally, went into full time Missionary work with S.I.M. (Society of International Missions) as stewardship representatives. They later worked with Life Water Ministries and until this date (1998) and they currently live at Lake Eufaula.
