The funeral for Fred William Schulz, 89, of Bison, who died Saturday Sept. 12, 1992 at St. Mary's Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Union Chapel Christian Union Church. The Rev. Steve Mortenson will officiate with burial in the Lyon Valley Cemetery of Hennessey. Brown Funeral Home of Enid is handling arrangements.Schulz was born Jan. 12, 1903, to Frank and Anna Marie Hoppi-Couglan Schulz on the family farm, three miles east of Bison. He grew up on the farm and attended Freedom School and then Waukomis High School. On Oct. 31, 1928, he married Hattie May Eckhardt in Kingfisher. She preceded him in death on Aprill 18, 1992. He was a lifelong farmer.
Survivors include five sons, Ernest Schulz of Wheatland, Merle Schulz of Sand Springs, Jack Schulz of Enid, Fred "Bill" Schulz of Hennessey and Marion "Bud" Schulz of Defiance, MO, two sisters, Lillie Brown and Edna Valtr, both of Douglas; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and four sisters.
Memorials to his memory can be made to the Union Chapal Christian Union Church, with Brown Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
Fred married Hattie May Eckhardt on 31 Oct 1928 in Kingfisher Co, OK. Hattie was born on 23 Dec 1906 in OK. She died on 18 Apr 1992. She was buried in Lyon Valley Cemetery, east of Hennessey, OK.

EDNA FLORA VALTRThe funeral for Edna Flora Schulz Valtr, 90, will be 10 a.m. Friday in Henninger-Allen Chapel with Joseph L. Stubbs and Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis cemetery.
She was born Aug. 8, 1907, east of Bison to Frank L. and Anna M. Coughlin Schulz and died Wednesday, July 15, 1998, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
She attended Possum Trot School, east of Bison. She married Lidmill James Valtr on Aug 8, 1922, in Oklahoma City, and they lived on a farm in the Douglas area. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Douglas.
She is survived by three daughers, Geneva Burland, Vada Wiggins, both of Enid, Norma Parton of Dover, Del.; two sons, David Valtr of Hennessey, Jerry Valtr of Douglas; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, two infant daughters, three brothers and four sisters.
Edna married Lidmil J. Valtr son of Josef Valtr and Frantiska on 8 Aug 1922 in OKlahoma City, OK. Lidmil was born on 13 Jul 1893 in NE. He died on 6 Oct 1925. He was buried in Waukomis IOOF Cemetery, Garfield Co, OK.
