Ralph Evans Cassil, of Lake Elsinore, CA, died Sunday, December 17, 1995 at
a VA Hospital in Riverside, CA. He was 68.
Funeral Mass was held Tuesday morning, December 19, at St. Peter's
Catholic Church, Lake Elsinore. Burial was in Anaheim.
Born March 12, 1926, in Hutchinson, KS, he was a retired roofing
contracor. He had worked in the Long Beach and Anaheim area for 35 years.
Cassil served with the U.S. Air Force from 1944 to 1948. At the time of
his death, he was serving as the American Legion Post commander at Lake
Elsinore. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Cassil was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Cassil; a brother,
Glenn E. Cassil; a son, Melvin Cassil; and two daughters, Maureen and Gail.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; a son Michael Cassil of
California and a daughter Linda Duncan of Portland, OR; his mother, Edith
Cochran, of Marlow; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue Norton of Marlow.
Ralph married Frances Marco on 22 May 1944.

Glen Edward Cassil, of Duncan, died Monday, April 21, in a Duncan
hospital. He was 57.
Service was held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Meeks and Karl Crouch officiating.
Burial was in the Marlow Cemetery.
Born Nov. 5, 1928, in Nickerson, Kan., he had lived in Duncan since 1982.
Before moving to Duncan, he lived in Freeport, Texas and was also a former
resident of Marlow. He was retired from Local 211 Pipefitters out of Houston,
Texas and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Marines.
Cassil, who attended school in Marlow, was a member of First Christian Church.
Cassil was married to the former Barbara Wortham on Feb. 27, 1954 in
Marlow.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of the home, at 1505 Mosley Drive; a
son, Michael Glen Cassil of Foss; three daughters, Arleen Flinner of Aurora,
Colo., Brenda Carol Morris and E. Lynelle Rose, both of Duncan; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar J. Cochran of Marlow; a brother, Ralph E. Cassil ofElsinore, Calif.; a sister, Sue Norton of Marlow and four grandchildren.
Serving as bearers were Jerry Howell, Tracy Howell, Joe Norton, James
Norton, Reagan Wortham and Greg Wortham.
Honarary bearers were Jerry Bewley, Tom Mahaffey, Dr. Jack Wright and
Randy Duft.
