PRECIOUS MEMORIES
LIFE & TIMES OF THE PIONEERS OF GARFIELD COUNTY, OKLAHOMA
The pioneers that settled Garfield County of the Cherokee Strip in Indian Territory, later to be known as Oklahoma Territory, and then in 1907 as the State of Oklahoma, faced many hardships in obtaining and improving this land. This site is dedicated to these pioneers and has been developed so their stories can be preserved and shared with any one interested. They have been gathered from various sources. If you would like to share a pioneer story with us, and it does not violate copyright laws, we will be happy to add it here. Click on the name below to read the story and contact the submitter.
