Note from Edna: Bob and Edna were married at the age of 18 and 16. Comments were that it would not last. They will celebrate their 48th anniversary in 1998 at a family reunion of their large family in Polo, MO. Bob went into the ministry in 1954. He pastored churches in Iowa, Indiana, Oklahoma for Christian Union and SBC Baptist. He traveled for three years in evangelist crusades in Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma and Indiana. He worked in sales and carpenter work along with his pastoring. Due to heart trouble and bypass surgery he had to retire in 1994 but continued to preach and pastor as the Lord allowed. Edna was a constant companion and tried to be of help in the ministry wherever they went. She taught Sunday School classes, served on many national and state church boards. She worked outside the home for several years and continues in 1998.
